Greetings! Thank you all for coming. We are here today to break the ground for the building of the NEW and VASTLY IMPROVED DSC Corporate Offices.

When I originally started this business in 1985 it was obviously a tiny organization. Basically I sold computers to finance my way through college so I didn't have to get a job. At that time you could make real money selling computers believe it or not. Over the years I added more personnel and office space and moved into selling Novell and NT networks - which is where the opportunities had moved to rather than computers. I was even using the Internet at that time - the old text based one believe it or not. By 1995 I had seen the trend and the promise of the Internet and decided that was my new path. Recently married to my wife Debbie I asked her what she thought and she encouraged me to do it as all of my ventures seemed to pay off in her opinion. At that time my brother Tim & I ran our computer and networking business by day, long days, 15 hour+ days 6 or more days a week and then at 10pm at night I would work from 10-2,3 or 4AM on my new business - Internet! At that time I took just about the entire savings I had in life (about $18,000) and invested it all in Internet equipment and a 64k ISDN connection. Did that ever pay off! ;) Starting with modem customers and my friends as the first guinea pigs I built that 64k ISDN connection to 128 and all the way to 512k. Then in 1996 I got a Full T1! We had all the bandwidth we thought we'd ever need! That held us until late 1997, which at that time I probably had 4-5 people working for me. Then we got a 10M-fiber connection! Incredible! At that time people who had 2 T1s were kings! It was unreal and I thought it would hold me for a good long time. Well, needless to say 1998 was a great year and 1999 was our best year ever. By focusing on Internet and refining the company and how we did business we grew and grew and grew, at the rate of over 50% per year during those years - culminating in 1999 by breaking the million-dollar mark! It was truly an excellent year for myself and also for George who had grown with the company and dedicated himself to it and learned everything and grown into my chief lieutenant as well as earning himself a place at DSC. You know it's a good year when your wife buys you a brand new expedition for Christmas! Early this year we added an additional 100M/sec fiber Internet connection - the speed and power we have now are unbelievable! Although it seems like a lot now, I'm sure we'll need more soon! ;) Financially this year looks already to be the best ever! Our goal this year is to move into the multi-million dollar revenue bracket and we are moving on track towards that goal! With the help of good people such as Ashia who is also intensely loyal and dedicated in addition to the rest of the staff we are growing by leaps and bounds.

As we move into the new millennium what other achievements can DSC look forward to? This new office is certainly the first and the biggest so far! Our current staff of over a dozen people occupies less than 2000 ft at our office we have now. This new facility will be multi-level and over 7500 ft! Plenty of room to grow and filled with the latest and greatest technology - raised flooring, UPS and diesel generator power backup plus gigabit Ethernet cabling and a totally impressive office is going to make for an even better year next year! Looking back I see we have come a long way together DSC and I, from a single person selling PCs to a group of truly excellent individuals striving together to build THE regional Internet powerhouse corporation! Being committed today to being THE best in customer service and providing top-notch connectivity while always looking to improve our service I am sure we will achieve our goals. In the future we will add and grow DSC and need more staff and resources than even this new office can offer - which is why we have already purchased the land and have on the plans to more than double the size of this building within the next few years.

All of our hard work, dedication and blood sweat and tears have brought us to this point.

Truly DSC is destined for great things and with the fantastic people we have, as well as our friends and those who are helping us and guiding us along we WILL achieve and take our place at the TOP of the list of the most successful businesses here in Georgia!
